When computer manufacturer Avanca wanted to launch an Indiegogo campaign to help fund their latest product, the Ockel Sirius Pocket PC, they turned to NewsWatch TV. They had a goal to raise over $10,000 in 30 days which had to happen, as an Indiegogo campaign is not funded unless you reach your goal. The purchased a one minute segment on NewsWatch TV and the results were far beyond belief. They raised in excess of $450,000 which was so far beyond their goal that it took a while to sink in. The company lauded their work with NewsWatch TV producers as seamless and a great overall experience, so much in fact that they continue to work with NewsWatch TV on several other projects.
NewsWatch TV began in 1990 as a once-a-month program that focused on news in the financial industry. Over the course of the 1990s the company expanded by producing all kinds of news other than financial news. NewWatch TV began focusing on technology products in 2011 and in 2012 started a segment called AppWatch, that focuses on new apps being brought to the market. The show is currently hosted by a trio of hosts in Susan Bridges, Michelle Ison, and Andrew Tropeano. They produce short story segments on consumer products coming to the marketplace. The program uses celebrities as part of their shows and to date have had Carrie Underwood, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Jerry West, and others on the show.
NewsWatch TV is active on social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The show produces exclusive content that can only be found on those channels. Its YouTube Channel currently has over 4 million views. The TV show is seen on AMC and the ION Network and is now a weekly 30-minute show seen by millions across the world.
